Sutter Home White Zinfandel New Label (July 2015)

                                                            Hello everyone! 
           
               Today I want to speak with You about Sutter Home wine . This is my husband's favorite wine. And this is the first wine that I have tried 3 years ago when I came to USA.  I remember how exited my husband was when his cousin brought a bottle of Moscato by Sutter Home. I really liked it and I was intrigued ! Because all girls likes sweet wine! It was a tropical candies in my wine glass.  I felt aromas of rose , lychee fruit, pineapple, all tropic fruits On my tongue I felt creamy peach and melon and I felt even banana and bubble gum in after taste! You can feel it too! It's very easy! It's so easy even if you are a begginer ! Even if You think that your wine tasting skills not so strong! Try this wine . "Typical american candy style" could say my friends-sommeliers from Russia. But it's such a popular Californian and American wine, this is really our family wine.

           In 1975 Sutter Home created the Original White Zinfandel. With essences of strawberry and melon , Sutter Home White Zinfandel is both refreshing on it's own and perfectly paired with so many different foods cuisines like Asian and Latin.

              I want to share my little photos for 4th July, for Anniversary Year of White Zinfandel and 40th Anniversary Year of my husband. He  turns 40 years on 7th March! On 4th July he will drink this wine. Me, being pregnant will only smell this amazing aroma and try to cook something very classic from this Gift Edition Book of American Cuisine by Barbara Greenman.
           

         And traditionally, I will wear my "Pandora-style" bracelet from Jo-Ann craft store.

           Before Christmas 2014 I decided to spent more time on professional wine tasting to improve my tasting skills. I didn't  know that after one month I will be pregnant and I will cancel all events ahead! In December I prepared huge Resolution for myself and I decided to continue my wine education! I subscribed on all top-wine boutiques in san Francisco and Bay Area. And I started looking for wine events.  

          Soon I got this invitation and massage from very popular store BevMo at Van Ness st in San Francisco :

          Whaaaat??? Only $25 for sip of famous-famous and glamorous Krug, Dom Perignon and Vueve Cliqout? AND YOU ARE ASKING?! SURE!!!! WHY NOT? I asked my husband to join  this event, got tickets and explained him why it  is so important to me. He agreed, even though its going to be a long evening with brut Champaign, i was so happy that i had no choice but to look at him like a crazy cat from Shrek movie.

          I really liked Krug Grand Cuvee  Champagne . I was super exited with speech of wine consultant and when he told about all Winemaker's notes as a deep golden color and fine bubbles, predicting fullness and elegance. Aromas of flowers in bloom,ripe and dried fruit, marzipan, gingerbread and citrus fruits. Flavors of hazelnut, nougat, barley sugar,  jellied and citrus fruits, almond, brioche and honey . And loooong aftertaste with toasted bread with somme truffles. 
         I felt everything and I start believing  in my taste skills. They are back! They are back! I felt toasted bread and citrus, and honey, and mushrooms! Its amazing ! I start feeling it again! I miss wine tasting! not when You are alone drinking wine in wine tasting room! When You are listening to professional  and start following his notes. 

     My husband was so tired and bored  on this event, but he found a table with black caviar! He got 2 extra portions and enjoyed it a lot. This is excellent pair of food and wine. Salty caviar and brut champagne. I think I know already how we will celebrate my comeback  after breastfeeding to drinking wine. We will buy a good bottle of champagne, a little can of black caviar and candle. It will be something super special! I'm sure! 

 This is one of the most expensive champagne in the world,  Armand De Brignac Champagne.

Beringer (fall 2014)

        This our purchase for my wine collection. Nice suvenire for $40. I will open this little cutie only on our super-special event or to celebrate something important.  Absolutely unique hand-made wine with botrytised grape. Maybe in my next post I will tell You more about this technique and about with sweet liquor wine. I'm so happy that my husbunt like it!

    Little bit more beautiful photos for my friend Sofia Shelley from Chicago . She almost graduated from Imperial Academy of Arts , she studied Art History and her final project was exactly about stained glass windows. I miss You my girl! And I will try to find for You more of interesting places and wineries and I will do nice trip for You! Maybe it will be Your next project, but for PhD of Art History in Chicago Art University !!! 

      

             I was surprised that they have a hand made jewelry,  wine glasses, women bags and etc.  Like jewelry designer I liked this display so much!

                                                       My husband little bit tired already .

 After every tasting we always very hungry and we looking for new places to eat.  At that time, we chose pizzeria (unfortunately I don't remember the name of this nice place) and after romantic dinner we decited to continue our walk and discover new and beautiful places.

    
   On this last photo I'm absolutely happy, full after delicious pizza with Californian wine, satisfied that I had an  interesting day with my darling  husband .  And I'm ready to jump to create a new post for You guys! Wish me good luck and see you soon! Thank You for Your attention!
